State Of Emergency: Tinubu Saved Rivers People From Anarchy – Wike (video)

Wike: As a politician, it’s not in my place to make the Governor happy, no it’s not me. My business is not to make him comfortable and that’s why there is power play. Now, the point I am trying to make its that Mr President came in and saved the situation, saved Rivers people of that calamity, of that anarchy.

Interviewer: So you know it was going to cause calamity if the Governor was impeached?

Wike: What calamity that the Governor was removed? Was it a coup? The Constitution provides that if there is infraction in the Constitution, the Governor can be impeached. Are there not people who are working today for the President not to go back for second tenure? Is it a crime? If they have their way to impeach the President in National Assembly, won’t they do it? You think they are comfortable to stay up to two years? Who told you that?

I never told anybody I am a Pastor or an Imam, it’s a power game. People should face reality. The Governor must not think that, this and that, if Governor is removed, this will happen, what will happen?

Now, the point I am making is that President saved the situation, that’s why they didn’t understand when the Attorney-General said they should even thank Mr President for saving them.
