Police Arrest 16 Kidnappers In Edo, Okpebholo Orders Demolition Of Hideout

The Edo State Police Command has arrested 16 suspected kidnappers in the Edo Central senatorial district. Following the arrests, Senator Monday Okpebholo has issued a directive for the immediate demolition of all houses linked to the suspects.

A source from the State CID revealed that Okpebholo’s directive mandates security agents to raid all hideouts of kidnappers and other criminal gangs, and to demolish any buildings harboring them. The prosecution of the suspects is set to commence soon.

Okpebholo commended the efforts of the security agents, stating that the demolition of the hideouts would serve as a deterrent to other criminals operating in the state. He emphasized that the activities of cultists and other criminals would no longer be tolerated under his administration.

Senator Monday Okpebholo also announced the deployment of five Hilux vans to security agents in the Edo North senatorial district to patrol the area and eliminate any criminal activity. He highlighted the purchase of 75 Hilux vans to enhance the security of the state’s residents.

Okpebholo stressed that the buildings to be demolished were confirmed to be used as dens for criminal activities.
